The Saint Paul Fire Department announced Monday that firefighter Timothy Bertz, 52, died after suffering a serious medical event at home on the morning of Saturday, Dec. 20.

According to the Saint Paul Police Department, officers were alerted when General Motors notified police that a vehicle stolen in Minneapolis was being driven toward Saint Paul on I-94.
