Smoleroff is charged with first-degree damage to property and obstructing legal process after an incident on Jan. 11 in the parking lot of a Lunds and Byerly’s in Eden Prairie.

Police say a woman was walking across Mitchell Road in a marked crosswalk with her four children when a driver struck them and kept going. The woman was pulling some of the children in a wagon, which officers later found tipped over in the crosswalk.

At about 8:20 p.m., police and fire crews were called to Mitchell Road and Chestnut Drive after a northbound white sedan hit the woman as she crossed in the crosswalk with four young children, two of whom were in a wagon she was pulling.

According to the Minnesota State Patrol, a 2009 Chevy Impala was traveling in the right lane when it spun out on ice and slid across all lanes of traffic. A semi-truck traveling in the left lane then collided with the driver's side of the Impala.

On the evening of Tuesday, Sept. 12, the Eden Prairie Police Department responded to a call on Lee Drive to check on the welfare of an adult male who was reported to be in distress.

Eden Prairie Police attempted to stop the vehicle, but the original reason for the stop is unknown at this time. The vehicle traveled northbound before the officer lost sight of the vehicle on Baker Rd near I-494 in Minnetonka but found the vehicle crashed just past I-494.
