4 Dead After Head-On Crash in Mille Lacs County
Four people died and another suffered life-threatening injuries after a head-on crash Wednesday on Highway 169 in Mille Lacs County.

The shooting happened just before 4 p.m. Monday, Feb. 23, in the 5600 block of Brooklyn Boulevard after reports that a man was waving a handgun in a business parking lot.
Police were called at about 9:10 p.m. Wednesday, Feb. 25, to the 800 block of Wescott Road after the victim reported a young male and two females assaulted him, threatened to shoot him and took his vehicle before leaving the area.
Two off-duty Immigration and Customs Enforcement agents who were dining at a nearby restaurant are credited with performed life-saving CPR.
The verdict followed a two-and-a-half-week trial stemming from the deaths of the children on March 15, 2024, at a home on Red Lake Nation.
A judge sentenced Lisa Marie Rosenau, 40, of Bethel, to a 24-month prison term, but stayed execution of the sentence for 10 years and placed her on supervised probation.

Authorities allege Michael John Rojas, 55, who has no permanent address, arranged for the shipment to be delivered to a home along Hawthorne Avenue East in Saint Paul on Feb. 20.
Prosecutors charged Darlington Darcious Taye, 23, of Saint Paul, with reckless discharge of a firearm within a municipality, a felony punishable by up to two years in prison and a $5,000 fine.
