A St. Louis Park man has been charged in the shooting that wounded two people outside the Eden Prairie High School homecoming football game on Oct. 2, the Hennepin County Attorney’s Office said Friday.
Adam Abdihakeem Adam, 18, is charged with two counts of second-degree assault with a dangerous weapon and one count of second-degree riot, according to the county attorney’s office.
Eden Prairie police, who identified Adam as the shooter, said officers arrested him without incident at about 3:30 p.m. Thursday, Oct. 8, at Highway 55 and Penn Avenue in Minneapolis.

A judge set bail at $100,000 with no conditions on Friday, Oct. 9, court records show. Adam was released from the Hennepin County Jail on Saturday, Oct. 10, after posting bond, according to jail records.
One shot was fired, and two people were struck and received medical care, the county attorney’s office said. Police have said the two were 18 and 17 years old and that the shooting prompted the evacuation of the game.
“This was an alarming and dangerous act that injured two people and frightened many more. Mr. Adam will be held accountable,” Hennepin County Attorney Mary Moriarty said in a statement.
Police have said they believe the shooting was gang-related. Police Chief Matt Sackett said Friday that the investigation remains active and that additional arrests or charges are possible.
Adam’s next court appearance is scheduled for Oct. 12 at 1:30 p.m., according to the county attorney’s office.
