Eden Prairie Hit-and-Run Leaves Child in Critical Condition

 

A woman and two children were hospitalized after being struck by a hit-and-run driver in Eden Prairie Thursday night.

At about 8:20 p.m., police and fire crews were called to Mitchell Road and Chestnut Drive after a northbound white sedan hit the woman as she crossed in the crosswalk with four young children, two of whom were in a wagon she was pulling.

The woman and one child were treated for non-life-threatening injuries, while another child suffered critical injuries. All three were transported to Hennepin Healthcare.

The driver fled the scene and has not been found. Eden Prairie police are asking anyone with information about the vehicle to call 911.

Authorities have not released further details.
