Rubin David Adams received a 132-month sentence on Wednesday after pleading guilty to two counts of armed robbery of a mail carrier.

Officers were dispatched after a report that two males had assaulted another male and stolen a shotgun he had just purchased. Police say the firearm was still in the box at the time it was taken.

Brooklyn Park officers responded after the victim reported being attacked by several suspects who stole his belongings and fled the scene.

The first pattern involved five robberies committed in a 15-minute span early Sunday morning, with three to four suspects involved in each case.

Rubin David Adams pleaded guilty in U.S. District Court to two counts of armed robbery of a mail carrier. The crimes took place on consecutive days in Edina and Brooklyn Center.
