A Saint Paul man is charged with stabbing his roommate in the abdomen during a drunken argument, then attempting to clean up the blood before officers arrived.

Prosecutors filed charges against a man accused of a stabbing outside a Saint Paul apartment building. The attack left the boy with multiple stab wounds across his chest, back and limbs.

The incident happened just after 1 p.m. Sunday, Feb. 23, when officers were called to Hennepin County Medical Center after a man arrived seeking treatment for a stabbing that investigators say occurred on a bus along Chicago Avenue.

Sharon Anne Venable, 60, of Minneapolis, is charged with second-degree assault with a dangerous weapon after investigators say she stabbed a woman in the eye during an argument.

Authorities say an officer located the man one block north of where the original call was reported. As the officer attempted to detain him, the man actively resisted and stabbed the officer.

Robert Jones is charged in Hennepin County District Court with first-degree assault causing great bodily harm. According to the criminal complaint, Jones assaulted the victim while using a dangerous weapon.

Matthew John Keck, of Minneapolis, is charged with second-degree assault with a dangerous weapon and felony domestic assault. Prosecutors allege Keck stabbed his brother during an argumen.

Darshawn Turner, of Minneapolis, is charged with second-degree assault with a dangerous weapon causing substantial bodily harm, assault causing substantial bodily harm and threats of violence.

Officers were called around 8:20 p.m. Saturday, Feb. 7, to the 3000 block of 40th Avenue South after a person went to check on the woman and found her dead inside the apartment.

Investigators later identified the woman as 22-year-old Hallie Tobler and the man as her husband, 23-year-old Dylan Tobler, both of Saint Cloud.

The attack happened around 10:15 a.m. Saturday, Feb. 7, when police were called to a report of an assault in progress at the victim’s apartment, Otter Tail County authorities say.
