A man was stabbed during a fight at a Brooklyn Park Walmart on Sunday night and a suspect was arrested at the scene, authorities say.
An off-duty officer working contract overtime at the Walmart at 8000 Lakeland Avenue North was made aware of a fight inside the store around 10:20 p.m. on May 24, the Brooklyn Park Police Department said.
When the officer encountered the two men, one had a knife and the other had an apparent stab wound to the abdomen. The suspect was arrested without incident and the victim was transported to a hospital.
The two men were known to each other, police said. An update on the victim’s condition was not immediately available and formal charges against the suspect have not yet been filed.
