A Minneapolis woman faces felony assault charges for her role in a stabbing that left a man with a stab wound to his rib cage and a broken nose.
Jennalee Lynn Farrow, 34, was charged today with second-degree assault with a dangerous weapon and third-degree assault causing substantial bodily harm. Both charges include aiding and abetting and her co-defendant, Mark Alan Klein, 38, was charged separately in March with the same counts.
According to the criminal complaint, Minneapolis police responded to Hennepin County Medical Center on the evening of Saturday, Feb. 28, after a man arrived with a stab wound to the left side of his rib cage and a broken nose.

The victim’s boyfriend told officers he heard loud yelling and the sounds of a fight around 9:15 p.m. outside their home on the 3300 block of 3rd Avenue South. He went outside and saw the victim and two people running away. The two got into a green Chevy truck with a mesh trailer and fled. The boyfriend helped the victim get to the hospital by Uber.
A neighbor told officers the victim had gone outside and began hitting a green truck belonging to the people who lived across the street. The truck’s owner came outside and confronted the victim.
Officers identified Klein and Farrow as the truck’s owners by looking up the residence witnesses described. A Facebook account linked to Klein showed a picture of the green pickup. The victim positively identified Klein in a photo lineup as the person who stabbed him.

In a follow-up statement on March 3, the victim told officers he’d been waiting outside for an Uber when Farrow started yelling at him from the top window of the home across the street. Farrow and Klein then came outside and approached him, accusing him of tampering with their truck. The victim said he retreated to his porch, where both Farrow and Klein attacked him and began punching him.
During the fight, he was stabbed and later said he didn’t see the weapon.
The victim said Farrow and Klein yelled anti-gay slurs at him multiple times during the assault. After the stabbing, the two ran to their truck and one of them yelled another slur at the victim.
A second neighbor confirmed she could identify both suspects and said they live across the street from her. She described Farrow as having red hair and tattoos at the time of the assault.
Court records show Farrow also has a pending felony case for fifth-degree drug possession in Hennepin County.
Farrow remains in custody at the Hennepin County Jail and her first appearance is scheduled for Friday.
If convicted on the top charge, Farrow faces up to five years in prison and a $10,000 fine.
