Deputies with the Dakota County Sheriff’s Office were called around 3:23 p.m. on Jan. 19 to an injury crash at the intersection of 320th Street and Foliage Avenue.

Inside the home, officers found a 27-year-old man unresponsive with a gunshot wound to the chest. Officers attempted lifesaving measures, but the man was pronounced dead at the scene.

First responders were called around 5:30 p.m. to the intersection of Upper 55th Street East and Blaine Avenue East after reports that a pedestrian had been hit.

Both counts stem from a Jan. 13 shooting inside an apartment on the 6900 block of 76th Avenue North in Brooklyn Park.

Initial information says the driver of a 2015 Ford Fusion was traveling eastbound and the driver of a 2023 Freightliner semi was traveling westbound when they collided.

Scott W. Carlson, 67, is charged with second-degree murder without intent in connection with the death of woman. The charge carries a maximum sentence of 40 years in prison.

When officers arrived, they found 18-month-old De’Ali Delgado unresponsive on the living room floor. Officers attempted life-saving measures before the child was transported to a hospital, where she was pronounced dead.

North St. Paul police were called to the 2000 block of 9th Avenue East at about 7:04 a.m. Saturday, Jan. 10, on a report of an assault. When officers arrived, they found an adult male suffering from an apparent gunshot wound.

Police were called around 2:45 a.m. on Jan. 13 to Park Haven Apartments in the 6900 block of 76th Avenue after a report of a shooting.

Prosecutors say Jonathon Michael Kaupa attacked people inside and outside an apartment shortly before 5 a.m., killing a 44-year-old man who worked as the building’s maintenance employee and repeatedly stabbing the man’s 15-year-old son.
