Pedestrian Killed After Being Hit By Driver in Inver Grove Heights

A pedestrian died Saturday evening after a driver struck them at an Inver Grove Heights intersection.

First responders were called around 5:30 p.m. to the intersection of Upper 55th Street East and Blaine Avenue East after reports that a pedestrian had been hit.

The pedestrian was taken to a hospital, where they were pronounced dead.

The Inver Grove Heights Police Department said the driver remained at the scene and is cooperating with the investigation. Officers said there were no signs of impairment.

Authorities have not released the pedestrian’s identity, and the crash remains under investigation.
