A 45-year-old man died after he was struck by a train in Little Falls on Wednesday night, police say.
Little Falls police were called around 9:45 p.m. on September 30 to a report of a pedestrian struck by a train near 9th Avenue and Lindbergh Drive Northwest, according to the Little Falls Police Department.
Emergency crews responded, and the man was pronounced dead at the scene.

Police identified him as Thomas Balaski, of Little Falls. He was taken to the medical examiner’s office for examination.
Police said the circumstances of the incident remain under investigation.
The Minnesota State Patrol, Morrison County Sheriff’s Office and Little Falls Fire Department assisted at the scene.
