Man Fatally Shot at Brooklyn Park Apartment Complex

A man was shot and killed early Tuesday morning at an apartment complex in Brooklyn Park, police confirm.

Police were called around 2:45 a.m. on Jan. 13 to Park Haven Apartments in the 6900 block of 76th Avenue after a report of a shooting.

When officers arrived, they found an adult male suffering from gunshot wounds and immediately began rendering aid.

The man was transported to a local hospital, where he later died from his injuries.

Brooklyn Park investigators remain actively working the case and have not released details about a suspect or what may have led to the shooting. Hennepin County Crime Scene Investigations is assisting with processing evidence at the scene as the investigation continues.

Authorities have not yet released the identity of the man who was killed.
