Fire crews were dispatched just after 12:30 a.m. to 901 Cedar Avenue South, where they arrived to find smoke and flames coming from the back of the building.

The structure, consisting of 12 double garages and totaling about 4,800 square feet, showed significant fire involvement when crews arrived.

Fire crews were dispatched just before 5:30 p.m. to the 500 block of Farrington Street after getting reports of fire coming from the church. While en route, firefighters reported seeing tall flames shooting from the building’s steeple.

A male resident managed to exit the mobile home before responders arrived and told them that two women remained inside. Firefighters entered the burning residence and located both women, carrying them out and beginning life-saving efforts.

When emergency crews arrived, they found a vehicle that had gone off the road and caught fire. Other passing drivers stopped to help and were able to pull both occupants from the burning vehicle.

The fire was initally brought under control by around 6:15 a.m., but crews soon discovered that flames had extended into the walls of the third floor and spread to the roof of the structure.

Ely Fire was dispatched to 254 North 5th Avenue East and first-arriving crews located a two-story, single-family home with smoke and flames visible from the rear of the structure.

Callers also reported hearing a loud noise resembling an explosion. Upon arrival, firefighters encountered heavy flames visible on three sides of the home and located a woman outside lying near the street.

An aircraft crashed into a home in Brooklyn Park early Saturday afternoon, igniting a large fire and prompting a widespread emergency response.

Emergency personnel arrived at around 5:18 p.m. and found one of the units engulfed in flames. Investigators quickly identified the resident of the unit as the suspect in the case.

One fire threatened multiple homes near Shoreview and another destroyed a residence and two vehicles on the Prairie Island Indian Community near Red Wing.

Minneapolis crews responded just after 5 p.m. Monday for reports of smoke in the apartment building on the 2500 block of Golden Valley Road.
