Officers were called around 10:40 p.m. Jan. 25 to a report of a shooting in a parking lot near the Andrews Pointe Townhomes along East 117th Street.

Deputies with the Dakota County Sheriff’s Office were called around 3:23 p.m. on Jan. 19 to an injury crash at the intersection of 320th Street and Foliage Avenue.

Dashawn Jawaun Newton, 23, is charged in Dakota County with felony false imprisonment, felony threats of violence and misdemeanor fifth-degree assault stemming from the New Year’s Day incident near Crystal Lake.

Officers were dispatched to the crash at the intersection of Pilot Knob Road and Lone Oak Road around 5:15 p.m. Friday, Jan. 2.
