Prosecutors say 25-year-old Tyler Walter Edwards stabbed the victim more than 30 times in July 2024, then set his body on fire using accelerants including Pine-Sol and alcohol.

Lul Gatbel Lul, 23, is accused of first-degree assault after police say he used a large kitchen knife to inflict a serious neck wound that caused the victim a fractured vertebra and nicked artery.

According to a criminal complaint filed in Dakota County, Mehdi Badaoui is charged with one count of attempted first-degree murder and one count of attempted second-degree murder.

Officers found one victim bleeding from a knife wound to the neck and inside the residence, they located a man and a woman struggling on the floor.

Responding officers located an adult male with multiple stab wounds and immediately called for medics. The victim was transported by Saint Paul Fire paramedics to Regions Hospital, where he was later pronounced dead.

According to the criminal complaint, police were called to the store around 3:03 a.m. on March 18, 2025, after receiving a report of a disturbance. Dispatchers heard sounds of an altercation before the call disconnected.

A woman, later identified as the man’s wife, had suffered a deep stab wound to her chest and was found in the parking lot of the New Hope Police Department. Initially, she told authorities that she accidentally fell on the knife while cooking.

The stabbing victim, identified as the husband of 41-year-old Amy Ann Kelly-Skeie, suffered injuries to his chest and arm, including a critical puncture wound that required surgery to repair a severed artery.

When they arrived, police discovered an unresponsive worker with a visible stab wound who was lying on the floor. Paramedics transported the victim to Mayo Clinic Health System, where he was later pronounced dead.

Authorities say 25-year-old Marquis Jacob Fisher, who is believed to be homeless in the Saint Cloud area, was taken into custody without incident around 11:05 a.m. Friday.

Prosecutors say Ricardo Ortiz broke into his neighbor’s basement apartment and attacked him with a knife after an argument over noise complaints.

The attack happened around 3:15 p.m. at a residence on the 400 block of Central Avenue West. The caller, identified as 33-year-old Kedu Husen Buseri, met officers at the door.
