Edina Police Investigate 2 Stabbings in Under 24 Hours
Edina Police are investigating two separate stabbings that occurred less than 24 hours apart, including one where the suspect remains at-large.
The first incident happened Sunday around 6:30 p.m. at Arneson Acres Park on the 7100 block of West Shore Drive.

Officers found a 50-year-old woman in the park with multiple lacerations to her neck. A 30-year-old man was found nearby with multiple stab wounds believed to be self-inflicted. Both were transported to hospitals in critical condition. Police said the two are related.
The second stabbing occurred Monday around noon in the 5500 block of Xerxes Avenue. Officers found a 39-year-old woman inside a residence with a large laceration to her leg. She was transported to a hospital for treatment. Investigators believe the assault was targeted and the suspect fled before officers arrived. The suspect has not been located as of publication. No suspect description was released, and the woman’s current condition is unknown.
The names of those involved have not been released. Both cases remain under investigation.
