Two separate Christmas Eve shootings left one woman and one man hospitalized in Minneapolis, with investigators now working to learn what led up to both.

Dalvin Jarrell Crockett, 24, is charged with felony bribery for allegedly arranging and directing an effort to influence a witness connected to his pending sexual assault case.

A Minneapolis man is facing multiple felony charges after authorities say he stole a vehicle, fled from officers and pointed a handgun at police during a foot chase in Saint Paul on Sunday afternoon.

Officers arriving at the scene found a man suffering from multiple gunshot wounds. Officers provided emergency medical care, including CPR, until paramedics arrived.

The injured teen was brought to North Memorial Hospital in a gold Honda Odyssey van with a shattered rear window, arriving at about 4:37 p.m. Hospital staff alerted law enforcement to the gunshot wound victim.

The driver of the Toyota Camry was identified as Lao Vang, 24, of Hugo. The State Patrol said he was booked into the Hennepin County Jail on suspicion of DWI and criminal vehicular operation.

Metro Transit Police said officers were dispatched shortly before 3:30 p.m. to a reported shooting involving a northbound METRO C Line bus near 36th Avenue North and Penn Avenue North.

Isaac Nathaniel Childress Jr., 40, of Crystal, is charged with second-degree murder with intent, not premeditated, for the Dec. 10 killing of Ty’wann Robinson. The charge carries a maximum sentence of 40 years in prison.

Stevie Lopez Lindsey, of Minneapolis. is charged with two counts of second-degree murder with intent not premeditated and one count of first-degree assault involving great bodily harm.

Deputies on routine patrol observed a black Ford Explorer traveling north with a passenger-side headlight out and extensive cracking across the front windshield. After initiating a traffic stop, deputies reported smelling raw marijuana coming from inside the vehicle.

According to the criminal complaint, police and rescue crews were called around 6:02 p.m. on Oct. 13 to a reported injury crash behind a residence in the 900 block of Lowry Avenue NE.

The murder was allegedly committed as part of a past pattern of domestic abuse. A conviction on either count requires life in prison, and a premeditated murder conviction would remove the possibility of parole.
