The crash happened just before 12:55 a.m. Sunday, Feb. 8, on the 3rd Avenue/Central Avenue bridge spanning the Mississippi River between downtown Minneapolis and northeast Minneapolis.

A Minneapolis Police Department spokesperson says officers were sent to the area on a report of a personal injury crash. When they arrived, police learned the driver had struck a building and, a short time later, they located him fatally shot inside the vehicle.

Prosecutors charged 33-year-old Joshua Ryan Pendegayosh, of Minneapolis, with felony criminal vehicular operation causing great bodily harm. Authorities say he was driving in a grossly negligent manner when he struck the victim.

The incident happened shortly after 12:24 a.m. Friday, Jan. 30, at a commercial building on the 300 block of 4th Avenue North in Minneapolis.

Naomi Tamunotonye Foingil Iruene, 28, is charged with fourth-degree assault of a peace officer and fourth-degree assault of emergency medical personnel.

The incident unfolded after Minneapolis police were notified that a suspect tied to an aggravated robbery involving a gun was moving near 42nd Avenue North & Fremont Avenue North.

Police were called to the residence after reports that a male occupant was threatening roommates with a shotgun and that a round may have been fired inside the home.

Lemon was taken into custody by federal agents in Los Angeles where he had been covering the Grammy Awards, while Fort was arrested at her home in the Twin Cities.

Isaiah Kessel was charged this week with second-degree criminal sexual conduct involving a child under 14 and a gross misdemeanor count of indecent exposure in the presence of a minor.

Prosecutors say he submitted the document in court proceedings tied to charges from a July 2025 crash and was made to appear as if it came from the Minnesota Bureau of Criminal Apprehension in an effort to challenge toxicology evidence.

The shooting happened near the intersection of Nicollet Avenue & East 26th Street, where witnesses reported seeing federal agents struggling with a man before shots were fired.

Organizers say more than 50,000 people took part in the downtown march, which was the largest of the coordinated demonstrations across the metro.
