Officers and deputies responded around 5:40 p.m. to the 2100 block of Maplewood Drive North, in Keller Regional Park, after reports of shots fired during the ceremony involving around 100 people.

Trivon D. Leonard Jr. is accused of arming himself and joining a group confrontation inside the encampment near East Lake Street and 28th Avenue South on Sept. 15 that escalated into more than 30 gunshots.

One man was found deceased inside the first floor lobby and another was found dead in a second floor hallway. Both died from shotgun wounds, the department said, and all three are adults who lived in the building.

The suspect was wanted on an arrest warrant for murder in connection with the Aug. 26 shooting that left one man dead and six other people injured near the intersection of East 29th Street and Clinton Ave.

Initial info indicates there was an altercation before the shooting, and a possible suspect ran from the scene. A 911 caller reported hearing one gunshot and then saw the victim collapse.

Minneapolis Police Chief Brian O’Hara said Adam John Peterson, 46, died at the hospital on Sept. 20 following the shooting that occurred last Monday.

Police said Jacinda Oakgrove died at the hospital on Sept. 18, three days after she was shot near South 28th Avenue and East Lake Street.

Prosecutors say 50-year-old David Eugene Wright is accused of killing Mariah Samuels near her vehicle on Sept. 14. He faces one count of second-degree intentional murder and one count of unlawful possession of a firearm by a felon.

Herron, who also goes by William Howard Sanders IV, was immediately sentenced to 400 months in prison. He will receive credit for 380 days already served in custody.

Prosecutors charged 19-year-old Terrell Anthony Ranzy after being accused of firing multiple shots inside a crowded bedroom during an attempted robbery, striking both men.

Police say the gunfire erupted just after 10 p.m., with authorities confirming four victims with life-threatening injuries and four others with apparent non-life-threatening wounds.

Officers were called around 11:10 a.m. to near E. Lake St. & Stevens Ave., and found four men shot. Paramedics transported them to hospitals, including one man who was unresponsive but still breathing on the way.
