A Maplewood PD spokesperson said officers were called around 4:30 a.m. after a newspaper delivery driver reported finding a man down in the roadway and seeing a van speed away.

Officers and deputies responded around 5:40 p.m. to the 2100 block of Maplewood Drive North, in Keller Regional Park, after reports of shots fired during the ceremony involving around 100 people.

According to a criminal complaint, troopers and medics were called to a rollover crash around 6:25 p.m. on Sept. 20 on the ramp to southbound Highway 61 from eastbound Highway 36.

Troopers say a black Chevrolet Tahoe was exiting at a high speed when the driver went off the roadway. The vehicle rolled into the ditch and landed upside down, partially submerged in one to two feet of water.

According to a criminal complaint filed Friday in Ramsey County, 52-year-old Lloyd Matthew McKenzie is charged with two counts of second-degree murder and one count of second-degree assault for the incident.

Believing the suspect was armed, officers quickly evacuated the victim and attempted to make contact with the man in the basement but received no response. SWAT activated and a perimeter was set up around the home.

A former school district employee has now been federally charged with producing sexually exploitative images of children using artificial intelligence, as well as possession and receipt of child pornography.

The investigation began Jan. 2, when Maplewood police received a tip from the Internet Crimes Against Children Unit at the Minnesota Bureau of Criminal Apprehension.

The victims were reported missing under similar circumstances. Investigators later discovered their dismembered remains in separate storage facilities in Woodbury and Coon Rapids.

Nicholas John Price, 37, of Roseville, faces charges of fleeing a peace officer in a motor vehicle resulting in death and criminal vehicular homicide.

The suspect, who reportedly had multiple warrants including one for felony domestic assault, collided with an uninvolved vehicle at the intersection near Bellwood Avenue and Edgerton Street in Maplewood.

Police say a pedestrian died early Monday morning after being struck by a vehicle on Highway 61 in Maplewood.
