A Minneapolis man repeatedly sexually abused a young girl in a Bloomington garage and bedroom, causing her pain and injuries from his long fingernails.
Nelson Ariel Soto-Sanchez, 41, faces two felony counts: criminal sexual conduct in the 2nd degree for sexual contact with a child under 16 and criminal sexual conduct in the 5th degree for nonconsensual sexual contact.
According to the complaint, Bloomington police received a report on Sunday, April 12, 2026, alleging sexual abuse of a juvenile female victim. The victim, born in 2019, later participated in a forensic interview at CornerHouse in Minneapolis, where she described repeated abuse by Soto-Sanchez.

During the interview, the victim disclosed that Soto-Sanchez would remove her underwear and touch her with his hands, often in a garage or bedroom. She told investigators that this happened many times and that she felt pain from his long fingernails, which caused scratches.
Court records state that the victim described the abuse in detail and reported ongoing pain as a result of the contact. The complaint does not mention any physical evidence or statements from Soto-Sanchez. The state has requested a warrant for his arrest, citing public safety concerns and the need to ensure his appearance in court.
The charges were filed Tuesday, June 16, in Hennepin County District Court.
