A woman who fell asleep on a sofa after drinking with a friend in Eden Prairie woke to find a man pulling down her pants and sexually assaulting her in the living room.

Demetrius Larkins Jr., 24, of Eden Prairie, faces a charge of 5th-degree criminal sexual conduct for sexually assaulting the victim without her consent, according to a complaint filed Tuesday in Hennepin County District Court.

According to the complaint, the victim told investigators she had been drinking with her friend at an apartment in Eden Prairie on Saturday, January 17, 2026. The victim reported that she became extremely intoxicated and fell asleep on the sofa. She recalled hearing Larkins in the living room playing video games before she felt him pull down her pants and underwear and sexually assault her.

The victim said she wanted the assault to stop but was unable to make it stop. She remembered having evidence of the assault, recalling that Larkins wiped her with a paper towel afterward. The next morning, the victim disclosed what happened to her friend.

After the assault, the victim received SnapChat messages from someone using the handle “TimmyGone,” referencing the night at the apartment and asking to hang out. The victim confronted Larkins about raping her, and he deleted the chat.

In a post-Miranda interview, Larkins admitted to having sex with the victim. He acknowledged that the victim was intoxicated and had thrown up in the bathroom. Larkins told investigators the victim never said anything to indicate she wanted to have sex with him, but he thought she wanted it and said he “fell into… lust.” He also admitted to wiping the victim after the assault and confirmed using the SnapChat handle “TimmyGone” to communicate with her.

The complaint states that the State requested a warrant for Larkins’ arrest due to the nature of the offense and concerns for public safety.

Larkins is in custody at the Hennepin County Jail.
