Deputies on scene determined there was probable cause to arrest the suspect for domestic assault. When contacted by phone, he refused to come outside, made threats and claimed to have multiple firearms.
According to preliminary information, the officer initiated a short pursuit after the shots were fired. During the chase, the suspect reportedly continued shooting at the pursuing officer.
