A 26-year-old man pleaded guilty this week to several charges after a standoff in Oakdale last year, allegedly firing at officers before barricading himself inside a home.
Devione Leeante Malone, of Saint Paul, admitted to two counts of first-degree attempted murder, four counts of first-degree assault, and one count of illegally possessing a firearm.

The plea agreement includes a dismissal of charges in two separate assault cases, though he will still be required to pay restitution in those cases.
According to court records, officers responded to a 911 call on March 11, 2024, reporting Malone was with a woman he was prohibited from contacting under a no-contact order. The woman had her one-year-old granddaughter with her at the time, and the caller reported concerns that Malone may be armed.
Officers found Malone and the woman in a vehicle and attempted to make contact. Malone then drove to a nearby residence, got out of the vehicle, and fired one shot at an officer before running into the home.
The officer fired back but was not hit and no one was injured during the exchange. Malone remained inside the home for several hours before surrendering to law enforcement.
He is scheduled to be sentenced on Nov. 7.
