Woman Critically Hurt in Multi-Vehicle Eagan Crash

A South Saint Paul woman suffered life-threatening injuries in a multi-vehicle crash late Friday afternoon on Interstate 35E in Eagan that left another person injured.

The Minnesota State Patrol said the crash happened just after 4:40 p.m. on the northbound side of I-35E near Lone Oak Road.

A 2024 International MV607 box truck driven by 37-year-old Kou Lee, of Sheboygan, Wisc., struck a 2022 Ford Escape, pushing it onto the right shoulder. The truck then hit a 1969 Chevrolet C10 pickup, which was pushed into a 2019 Ford F-150.

The driver of the Ford Escape, 54-year-old Anne Marie Stabe Keroff, of South St. Paul, was trapped in her vehicle and had to be extricated by Eagan firefighters. She was transported to Regions Hospital with life-threatening injuries.

Jason Cole Lantz, a 50-year-old man from Roberts, Wisc., who was driving the Chevrolet C10, sustained non-life-threatening injuries but did not require hospitalization. The driver and passenger in the Ford F-150, 56-year-old Kenneth Robert Claeson and 53-year-old Christine Marie Claeson, both of Eagan, were not injured.

The driver of the box truck and his passenger, 36-year-old Padee Lor, of Sheboygan, were also uninjured. All people involved were wearing seat belts and alcohol was not a factor, according to the State Patrol.

Eagan Police, Fire, MHealth EMS and MnDOT assisted on scene. The crash remains under investigation.
