Speed Suspected in Fatal Sherburne County Motorcycle Crash

 

A 27-year-old man died late Thursday after crashing his motorcycle southwest of Princeton, according to the Sherburne County Sheriff’s Office.

Authorities say the crash happened around 11:15 p.m. near the intersection of 146th Street and 285th Avenue Northwest.

The rider, identified as Andrew R. Steadman, of Princeton, was pronounced dead at the scene.

According to Commander Ben Zawacki, witnesses saw Steadman traveling at a high rate of speed shortly before the crash. Investigators located a helmet in the roadway near the crash site.

Authorities are still investigating the crash, including whether alcohol may have been a factor.
