Teen Killed, 3 Hurt in Sibley County Crash
A 17-year-old Henderson girl died early Saturday after a head-on crash in Sibley County that also left three others seriously injured.
According to the Minnesota State Patrol, the collision happened just after 1 a.m. on Highway 19 near 441st Avenue in Dryden Township.

A westbound Chevy K30 pickup and an eastbound Pontiac Bonneville collided on the two-lane highway.
Troopers identified the Pontiac’s driver as 17-year-old Mya Jean Maus of Henderson. Maus was wearing her seat belt and her car’s airbags deployed, but she died at the scene.

The driver of the pickup, a 17-year-old boy, was taken to HCMC for treatment. The State Patrol said he was not wearing a seat belt at the time of the crash.
Two passengers in the truck, a 50-year-old man of Glencoe and a 41-year-old man of Winthrop, both suffered life-threatening injuries and were transported to HCMC. Neither was wearing a seat belt and both had alcohol listed as a factor.
The State Patrol said the road was dry at the time. The Sibley County Sheriff’s Office, Gaylord Fire Department and Arlington Fire Department assisted at the scene.
Authorities have not yet released further details about the crash or possible charges. The investigation remains ongoing.
