A 5-year-old girl died in a rollover crash on westbound Interstate 494 in Sunfish Lake on Saturday morning, the Minnesota State Patrol says.
The crash happened around 10:10 a.m. on June 20 on westbound I-494 near Pieper Road in Dakota County. According to an incident report, the driver of a Chevrolet Express van left the road to the left and the van rolled several times.
The van was carrying four people, all from Salem, Oregon. The girl died at the scene and a State Patrol report says she was not wearing a seat belt.

The driver, a 20-year-old man, had non-life-threatening injuries and was wearing a seat belt. Two other passengers, a 13-year-old boy and a 35-year-old woman, were also in the van. The State Patrol has not released their conditions or their names as of publication.
Road conditions were dry and the driver was not suspected of drinking. The State Patrol has not yet said what may have caused the van to leave the road.
The Inver Grove Heights police and fire departments and M Health Fairview Ambulance assisted the State Patrol.
