CHARGES: Ex-Teacher Targeted Teen While Employed as Nanny
A former Hudson teacher and nanny is charged in both Minnesota and Wisconsin for alleged sexual relationships with teen boys, including her employer’s son.
Abigail Michelle Faust, 24, is charged in Washington County with one count of third-degree criminal sexual conduct for allegedly engaging in sexual penetration with a 15-year-old boy between Dec. 2024 and Aug. 2025.

According to the criminal complaint, the boy told investigators that Faust, who had worked as his family’s nanny since 2021, began sending him sexually explicit messages on Snapchat in Dec. 2024. She reportedly sent him photos of herself in lingerie and made comments acknowledging the illegality of their communication. On Dec. 22, the boy said Faust kissed him at his home, court documents say.
Their relationship escalated in January when Faust allegedly performed oral sex on him at her home in Hudson, Wisc. He told detectives they had sexual intercourse on multiple occasions afterward, often when she stayed overnight at his home. He said Faust described their relationship as “true love” and talked about having a child with him in the future. The complaint says their sexual relationship continued through the summer and included a family vacation to the Bahamas where Faust joined the trip.
During a family trip to Florida in late April, Faust remained behind to care for the family’s pets and allegedly began a second sexual relationship with one of the victim’s juvenile friends. That friend reportedly didn’t know about her existing relationship with the boy.
In mid-August, the boy’s parents became suspicious of Faust’s relationship with their son. Around that same time, they learned she had been charged in Wisconsin for other child sex offenses stemming from her time as a teacher in the Hudson School District. The parents of the boy’s friend then contacted them with concerns that their own child had also been involved with Faust.

Faust is also facing four felony charges in St. Croix County, Wisc., for a separate incident involving a student at the Hudson school where she worked. Those charges include failure to act on child sexual assault, causing mental harm to a child, child enticement to cause harm and sexual misconduct by school staff.
In that case, prosecutors allege Faust kept a fifth-grade student after class, pushed him against a wall and kissed him on the cheek. The incident reportedly came to light during the investigation into Madison Bergmann, another Hudson fifth-grade teacher who is awaiting trial for allegedly having an inappropriate sexual relationship with an 11-year-old student.
Court documents show Faust and Bergmann were friends and had exchanged texts about their interactions with students. Both teachers resigned from the Hudson School District in early May 2024 and Faust was under internal investigation at the time for allegedly failing to report suspected abuse.
Following the charges, the district issued a letter to families saying it had since strengthened training for staff on professional boundaries, partnered with a prevention organization to review policies and expanded communication with parents about expectations for staff conduct.
Faust was charged by warrant in Minnesota and is currently in custody in St. Croix County, Wisc., awaiting extradition. If convicted in Minnesota, she faces up to 15 years in prison and a $30,000 fine. Court proceedings in her Wisconsin case remain ongoing.
