A Litchfield woman threatened to kill hospital staff and law enforcement, kicked an officer and pushed over a chair that struck a staff member at a hospital, according to the complaint.

Elizabeth Michelle Johann, 43, faces three charges in Meeker County District Court: felony threats of violence, gross misdemeanor fourth-degree assault of a peace officer and gross misdemeanor fourth-degree assault.

According to the complaint, a Litchfield police officer was dispatched to the intersection of 5th Street West and North Ramsey Avenue in Litchfield on October 9 for a report of dogs at large. The officer knew the dogs belonged to Johann, and after dealing with them took Johann to an area hospital.

At the hospital, Johann became frustrated with the wait and tried to leave, but the officer was unable to let her go. Johann tried to push the officer in an effort to leave. The officer grabbed her left arm, and Johann sat on the ground and kicked the officer before she eventually stopped.

When Johann was brought to a room, she became upset and began yelling and swearing at hospital staff. The complaint states Johann pushed over a chair toward a staff member, and the chair struck the staff member. Johann also tried to bite various people.

While restrained, Johann threatened several people, including telling the staff member, “you are f****** dead b****! I know who you are!” The complaint says Johann also threatened to kill multiple members of law enforcement, hospital staff and their families.

Eventually, Johann calmed down. She was placed under arrest and taken to the Meeker County Jail.

The charges were filed October 12 in Meeker County District Court.
