A Saint Paul man is charged with first-degree assault after police say he shot a woman through a kitchen window while two young children were inside the home earlier this week.

Officers detained three men outside the bar, including 29-year-old Davarius Lamonte Clark, who was working as a bouncer that night. Police say Clark repeatedly told them “It’s my gun” and admitted to shooting the man.

Daniel Penmong Moua, 20, was arrested at the scene and has since been charged with second-degree murder and first-degree assault in connection with the attack, according to a criminal complaint filed in Ramsey County.

Saint Paul officers responded around 12:10 a.m. to the 1500 block of University Avenue West, outside the Midway Saloon, after Metro Transit officers nearby heard gunfire and located the scene.

Just after 3 p.m. on Aug. 5, a Ramsey County Probation officer who was checking on 60-year-old Anthony DeWalt at an apartment building on the 500 block of Stryker Avenue.

Devione Leeante Malone, of Saint Paul, admitted to two counts of first-degree attempted murder, four counts of first-degree assault, and one count of illegally possessing a firearm.

Keng Cha, 31, was sentenced on July 29 after pleading guilty to two felony counts of third-degree criminal sexual conduct involving penetration of a minor in a prohibited occupational relationship.

Around 11:15 p.m. on July 25, State Capitol security officers contacted the Minnesota State Patrol about a man they located naked inside the Capitol’s Senate chamber.

When police arrived, people at the camp directed officers to a nearby tent where the man was lying with apparent gunshot wounds. Officers took over efforts to help the victim before Saint Paul Fire medics arrived.

A 7-year-old girl was rushed to the hospital with life-threatening injuries Wednesday night after being struck by a vehicle on Saint Paul’s East Side, according to police.

Saint Paul police say the incident began around 11:40 a.m. on the 1500 block of Jessamine Lane, where officers responded to a weapons-related call reporting a gunshot fired inside a home.

Saint Paul officers secured the scene and spoke with witnesses, with preliminary information indicating that a group of people were having a party before the shots rang out.
