Law enforcement executed a search warrant last Friday at the residence in connection with the case following repeated surveillance tied to suspected narcotics trafficking.

The man’s death was discovered shortly after 1:09 p.m. on Oct. 1, 2025, when St. Cloud police were called to an apartment building after a reported overdose.

Robert Burns Jr. is charged with four counts of first-degree controlled substance crime, including two counts alleging the sale of methamphetamine and cocaine.

The case developed late Jan. 29 into early Jan. 30 after officers received information that a vehicle transporting roughly one-half pound of methamphetamine was expected to travel through the reservation.

Abdilah Abdilkadir Sheikh-Mursal is charged with five counts of first-degree drug possession and two counts of possessing firearms while prohibited due to prior violent crimes.

Prosecutors allege the conduct occurred over a two-week span in July 2024, when she replaced the drug with saline and returned the diluted vials to circulation.

Investigators say the driver had outstanding warrants, was driving a stolen truck and was found with multiple baggies of methamphetamine.

According to the criminal complaints, a Minnesota State Patrol trooper was briefed on Jan. 8 by officers conducting surveillance on a man who investigators say had just engaged in a suspected drug transaction involving a Toyota Camry.

Prosecutors have charged Torrence Lomanthro Gray, 50, and his brother, Dominic Lamont Gray, 43, in connection with a narcotics and firearms investigation.
