A Faribault man is accused of keeping cocaine at an Owatonna residence and selling the drug, according to charges.
Taiwan Dashaun McCain, 46, faces two felony charges: first-degree drug sale and first-degree drug possession.
According to the complaint, agents from the Cannon River Drug and Violent Offender Task Force began investigating McCain for cocaine sales and possession over a period of several months. Agents observed people making brief stops at one of McCain’s residences in Faribault and reviewed phone conversations that appeared to discuss drug prices, weights and meeting locations.

Investigators learned McCain was regularly visiting an Owatonna residence. Agents saw him enter the Owatonna residence and found text messages referencing a stash house, which they believed to be the Owatonna address. Records showed McCain’s listed address matched the Owatonna residence.
On September 17, 2026, agents executed search warrants at both the Faribault and Owatonna residences. At the Faribault location, agents found a black plastic case with a magnet attached, which appeared to have just been washed out in the bathroom sink. A small amount of suspected cocaine was still inside.
Agents also seized $14,671 in cash from a safe in McCain’s bedroom and found ammunition. McCain was charged separately with firearm possession by a prohibited person and fifth-degree drug possession in that case.
At the Owatonna residence, agents found a black plastic container matching the one from Faribault. Inside, they discovered seven bags of suspected cocaine weighing a total of 402 grams with packaging or about 396 grams without packaging. The substance field-tested positive for cocaine. A woman at the residence told agents McCain had a key and visited once a week at night.
Agents also learned two children were living at the Owatonna residence. Tracking data showed McCain drove to the Owatonna address at about 11 p.m. the night before the search.
The complaint says McCain was convicted in 2023 in Juneau County, Wisconsin, of felony possession with intent to deliver cocaine, and in 2011 in Waseca County of a fifth-degree drug offense. It says he was on probation in Rice County for the 2023 conviction.
The charges were filed Monday, September 21.
