Tyler Scott Wild is charged with two counts of criminal vehicular operation—one for great bodily harm caused by gross negligence and another for great bodily harm caused while under the influence of alcohol.
According to the Minnesota State Patrol, a 2024 Ram 1500 driven by Ryan Matthew Ebert was heading north when it collided with a 2018 Transit bus and the cable barrier.
The State Patrol said the driver suffered non-life-threatening injuries and was taken to Saint Cloud Hospital. Alcohol was detected in his system, according to the crash report.
Investigators say a 2006 Chevrolet Equinox crossed the centerline and collided head-on with a northbound 2020 Subaru Forester. A 2019 Buick Encore traveling behind the Subaru then struck the wreckage.
The driver of a 2018 Toyota Camry was traveling eastbound on Highway 10 when he left the roadway and struck the bridge deck at Round Lake Boulevard. He was the only person in the vehicle.
The crash happened in the 1500 block of the Echo Trail, just outside Ely. Witnesses reported that the driver’s vehicle nearly forced another car off the road before leaving the roadway, striking ledge rock, becoming airborne and rolling over.
Police said the boy had been riding his bike down what is known locally as “Muskie Hill” when he lost control and crashed near the bottom.
According to a criminal complaint filed in Ramsey County, 26-year-old Arlandis Shamar Walls is charged with two counts of criminal vehicular operation resulting in great bodily harm.
According to court records, 29-year-old Joshua Maurice Mitchell pleaded guilty in August to one count of criminal vehicular operation resulting in great bodily harm.
Blair pleaded guilty on Sept. 29 to felony criminal vehicular operation causing substantial bodily harm while under the influence of alcohol and to a misdemeanor count of carrying a pistol while under the influence.
The driver, who has been identified only as an adult male, stayed at the scene and called 911. Investigators said he showed no signs of impairment and cooperated with officers.
First responders arrived to find the fire truck on its side in the west ditch. The truck had been traveling north when it overturned with three people inside.
