The armed carjacking suspect who was fatally shot by Burnsville officers after a pursuit Sunday afternoon has been identified, as have the officers who fired their weapons, who are all on standard administrative leave.
Burnsville police on Sunday, April 18, fatally shot an armed man who is believed to have previously carjacked a woman at gunpoint and fired several gunshots at officers during a pursuit.
Burnsville emergency crews responded to a two-vehicle accident near the intersection of County Rd. 42 & County Rd. 5 on Sunday, April 4. Two people were killed and two others were injured.
