Mitchell was arrested in the early morning hours of April 22, 2024, after her stepmother, Carol Mitchell, called 911 to report someone crawling on the floor of her bedroom.

According to the sheriff’s office, Christopher Ringsrud-Knowels was behind the wheel of a vehicle that fled from a traffic stop around 60th Avenue South and 14th Street on Monday morning.

Officers arrived at the home and found people inside performing life-saving efforts on the man who had been shot. Officers took over care and called for Red Lake EMS, but the man was pronounced dead at the scene.

Prosecutors allege the crew worked together for nearly a year, committing dozens of break-ins and thefts with a central hub in Saint Paul and a clear leader assigning roles.

According to the criminal complaint, Saint Paul police were dispatched to the home around 3:37 a.m. after a 16-year-old girl reported seeing a man in her bedroom closet. The suspect reportedly fled the room after apologizing.

Formal criminal charges have been filed against Bryant Darrel Bramstedt, 20, following a violent incident early Tuesday morning in Saint Paul.

A Faribault man has been charged in relation to a St. Paul Park burglary after DNA left on discarded Coke Zero cans tied him to the crime scene. According to a criminal complaint, Michael Walter Kaste Fafara, 30, entered a garage service door of a residence on the 1400 block of Summit Ave. on Oct. 1
