A Saint Paul man broke into a home on the 1100 block of Arcade and assaulted two women as they slept in the same bed, punching both before fleeing, according to the complaint.
Travon Thomas Ferrara, 33, faces two counts of first-degree burglary, each alleging he entered an occupied dwelling and assaulted people inside.
Officers responded to the residence at about 8:40 a.m. on Sunday, August 2, 2026, after a report of a burglary with assault. The two women told police they had returned from an evening out and were asleep when Ferrara climbed through a window and began punching them with closed fists.
According to court records, both women described waking up to Ferrara attacking them. One woman suffered a bump and swelling on the back of her head, as well as swelling and bruising to her left hand. The other had a cut to her inner lip.
After the assault, Ferrara fled the scene. On August 4, 2026, Maplewood police arrested Ferrara for DWI and on a pick up and hold related to the burglary. Ferrara declined to be interviewed.
The complaint notes Ferrara has several pending charges in other cases, including drive-by shooting, possession of a firearm by an ineligible person, second-degree burglary, threats of violence and aggravated robbery.
Ferrara also has four prior convictions for first-degree aggravated robbery from 2011 and a conviction for possession of a firearm by an ineligible person in 2023.
