Deputies responded to the Red Rock Square Apartments just after 1:30 a.m. Sunday, where they found a man outside the building with heavy bleeding from his arm and a wound above his eye.

The driver of a 2018 Toyota Camry was traveling eastbound on Highway 10 when he left the roadway and struck the bridge deck at Round Lake Boulevard. He was the only person in the vehicle.

According to a criminal complaint, 52-year-old Tiffany Lee Brewer has been charged with second-degree assault with a dangerous weapon causing substantial bodily harm.

Wright County Dispatch said the call came in at 10:32 a.m. reporting that three men had gone into the water after their boat overturned. Two of the men made it to shore safely with help from Xcel Energy staff.

Police said they were flagged down around 2:20 a.m. Oct. 5 near the Blues Saloon bar at 1638 Rice Street, where they found a 33-year-old man unconscious inside a red Ram truck with Wisconsin plates.

Investigators solved the case when they linked his DNA to the attack through a discarded cigarette butt nearly 14 years later.

According to charges filed Monday in Anoka County, 22-year-old Luvell Kaagan Bowman, of Andover, is accused of firing shots during a dispute on Oct. 3 that struck a man in the leg and hand.

Deputies were called just after 3:30 a.m. Oct. 4 to Piney Park in Straight River Township after neighbors reported a man and his young daughter screaming for help.

The crash happened in the 1500 block of the Echo Trail, just outside Ely. Witnesses reported that the driver’s vehicle nearly forced another car off the road before leaving the roadway, striking ledge rock, becoming airborne and rolling over.

Police said the boy had been riding his bike down what is known locally as “Muskie Hill” when he lost control and crashed near the bottom.

The Aitkin County Sheriff’s Office said the crash happened at 4:26 p.m. on Oct. 5 after 911 callers reported a downed plane southeast of the airport.

Deputies were called to the area of 925 Grant Utley Avenue SW around 2:24 a.m. on Oct. 4 for a reported assault. When they arrived, they found the man suffering from several stab wounds.

According to a criminal complaint, 18-year-old Sadiyo Bashir Aden, of Faribault, has been charged with second-degree assault with a dangerous weapon resulting in substantial bodily harm.

Prosecutors say Andrew Nietz faces charges of second-degree murder without intent while committing arson, as well as first-degree arson of a dwelling.
