Man Stabbed Multiple Times in Cass County, Flown to Fargo Hospital

 

A 29-year-old man was seriously injured after being stabbed multiple times in Cass Lake early Saturday morning, the Cass County Sheriff’s Office says.

Deputies were called to the area of 925 Grant Utley Avenue SW around 2:24 a.m. on Oct. 4 for a reported assault.

When they arrived, they found the man suffering from several stab wounds.

The victim was treated at the scene and taken to Cass Lake IHS, then flown by helicopter to a Fargo hospital for further treatment. Authorities said his injuries are serious but not life-threatening.

The sheriff’s office reported that initial information from the victim and a witness at the scene was inconsistent. Investigators continue to work to determine what led to the assault.

Leech Lake Ambulance, the Leech Lake Tribal Police Department and the Beltrami County Sheriff’s Office assisted at the scene. Authorities have not announced any arrests or identified suspects.
