A former collegiate coach has been sentenced to more than six years in federal prison.

On March 19, 2025, United States District Judge Eric C. Tostrud sentenced the defendant in federal court. During sentencing, Judge Tostrud called the conduct “deeply troubling” and said the defendant’s behavior showed a “callous indifference” to the well-being of the victims.

The case was investigated by Homeland Security Investigations and the Duluth Police Department. Duluth Police Chief Mike Ceynowa praised the collaboration, stating, “The Duluth Police Department appreciates its partnership with Homeland Security Investigations in holding this offender accountable to the highest standards.”
