All of the conduct described herein occurred within the County of St. Louis, State of Minnesota, unless otherwise noted. On November 5, 2025, at approximately 5:33 PM, Sergeant Siebert and other officers of the East Range Police Department were attempting to locate DYLAN JAMES DEWHURST ([DOB REDACTED]/94) as he had outstanding warrants for his arrest. Sgt. Siebert exchanged messages with DEWHURST using Facebook and utilizing an alias, and DEWHURST agreed to meet the alias near some storage units in Biwabik Township, St. Louis County, Minnesota.
Officer Gams, posing as the alias, was sitting in the driver's seat of a parked, unmarked vehicle. Sgt. Siebert and his K9 partner, Taconite, were hiding in the backseat of the same vehicle. DEWHURST arrived and as he approached the vehicle, Sgt. Siebert informed DEWHURST that he was under arrest. DEWHURST immediately ran away from the vehicle. Multiple officers, including Taconite, chased after DEWHURST, who was eventually located nearby laying on the ground. PLEASE TAKE NOTICE: Pursuant to Minn.
