A Brooklyn Park man kicked in the door of a Crystal apartment and pointed what police later determined was a BB gun at a man inside while threatening to kill everyone there, according to the complaint.
Barry Wayne Fletcher, 41, is charged in Hennepin County District Court with one felony count of first-degree burglary involving an assault. Bail was set at $60,000.
According to the complaint, Crystal police were sent to an apartment complex on a report of a fight Nov. 1 and met three people outside. One man told officers he knew Fletcher because he sometimes gives him food when he is hungry. He said Fletcher approached him outside the building that day. He told Fletcher not to come inside.

The man said he went up to his apartment, where two other people were. He then heard Fletcher outside the door say he was going to kick it in, followed by a loud noise. Fletcher kicked the door in and stood in the doorway holding a long black gun, the complaint says.
When the man told him to get out, Fletcher pointed the gun toward him and said he would kill everyone inside, according to the complaint. The man put his hands in the air. Another man in the apartment went into a bedroom, came back with a can of bear mace and sprayed it. Police later determined the gun was a BB gun.
