Officers from multiple agencies cleared out an area of downtown Saint Paul after large fights broke out at an event at Union Depot on Saturday night, with initial reports of possible gunfire inside.
Police found no evidence of any shooting, as at least two 911 callers reported, a department spokesperson said.
Officers called for as many squads as possible to the 200 block of Fourth Street East just before 9:15 p.m. Oct. 31 after the fights started, according to emergency radio dispatches.
SPPD officers, Ramsey County deputies and State Troopers responded, telling people to leave and attempting to clear the building. A State Patrol helicopter and SPPD drone were also used to monitor the area.
Police said people in the large crowd ran, glass was broken and it was initially suspected that shots were fired. Investigators found no evidence of a shooting and there were no injuries reported.
