Two teenagers are recovering after being shot on Minneapolis’ north side early Thursday morning, police say.
Officers received reports of three people stealing a vehicle on the 3500 block of Colfax Avenue North around 1:15 a.m. Shortly after, ShotSpotter alerts and 911 calls reported multiple gunshots in the area.
About 10 minutes later, someone in the stolen vehicle dropped off two teens at North Memorial Medical Center. A 14-year-old boy had a graze wound and a 16-year-old boy had a non-life-threatening gunshot wound, according to Minneapolis police.

Robbinsdale police later located the stolen vehicle and began pursuing the driver, who eventually crashed near the 4300 block of Marshall Street Northeast. Officers arrested the driver, who was then evaluated for injuries at a nearby hospital.
Police said the shooting does not appear to be connected to a fatal shooting that happened around the same time near Lowry Towers apartments.
