A 57-year-old Oak Grove man is charged with attempted murder and assault after an alleged alcohol-fueled shooting that left his brother severely injured.

Officers from the 4th Precinct responded to a report of a shooting around 1:30 a.m. Inside the residence, police found the 13-year-old boy suffering from a single gunshot wound. Despite officers’ efforts to save him, the boy died at the scene.
