Anthony Crowley pleaded guilty in September to one count of distribution of child sexual abuse material, and two counts of possession of abuse material were dismissed.

Anthony John Crowley, 52, a former U.S. Customs and Border Protection officer, pled guilty Friday in U.S. District Court to one count of possession of child pornography.

Federal prosecutors say Anthony John Crowley, 52, of Minnetonka, knowingly possessed material containing visual depictions of a minor engaged in sexually explicit conduct.

The incident began around 10:15 p.m. on April 8, 2025, when a Minnetonka officer on patrol observed a driver making several traffic violations in the area of I-394 and Hopkins Crossroad.

Joshua Paul Armbrust, 44, admitted to one count of computer fraud tied to a months-long “cryptojacking” scheme carried out against Digital River, a Minnetonka-based company.

As part of a plea deal, Mohamed Salad, 30, received an 18-month prison sentence, stayed for three years, and was ordered to serve 364 days in the Hennepin County Workhouse.

Eden Prairie Police attempted to stop the vehicle, but the original reason for the stop is unknown at this time. The vehicle traveled northbound before the officer lost sight of the vehicle on Baker Rd near I-494 in Minnetonka but found the vehicle crashed just past I-494.
