Brooklyn Park officers were dispatched to reports of a shooting inside the business and arrived to find an adult male employee suffering from multiple gunshot wounds.

The allegations came to light in July 2025, when Eagan police were called to a home after concerns were raised about possible child maltreatment involving a young child who had been dropped off earlier that day.

Ecstasy Audacious Algerice Whitehead, 23, of Minneapolis, Rajah Lezarious West, 21, of New Hope, and Imani Nafisah Reid, 24, of Saint Paul, are each charged with second-degree assault.

The crash happened at the intersection of 8th Street South and Park Avenue in Minneapolis, where police responded to a four-vehicle collision.

Andrew Jonathan Townsend, 30, is charged with second-degree assault with a dangerous weapon causing substantial bodily harm. The charge carries a maximum penalty of up to 10 years in prison.

According to the criminal complaint, officers were dispatched after a woman reported that Joplin, identified as the father of her child, had attacked her and fled in a white Hyundai Tucson.

A federal grand jury returned indictments in four separate cases, including three tied to threats made after authorities say FBI-owned vehicles were vandalized and sensitive employee information was stolen and later posted online.

Robert Jones is charged in Hennepin County District Court with first-degree assault causing great bodily harm. According to the criminal complaint, Jones assaulted the victim while using a dangerous weapon.

Darshawn Turner, of Minneapolis, is charged with second-degree assault with a dangerous weapon causing substantial bodily harm, assault causing substantial bodily harm and threats of violence.

The announcement came Thursday morning during a news conference in which the federal administration’s “border Czar” Tom Homan said a “significant draw-down” is already underway and will continue into next week.

The crash happened just before 12:55 a.m. Sunday, Feb. 8, on the 3rd Avenue/Central Avenue bridge spanning the Mississippi River between downtown Minneapolis and northeast Minneapolis.

Officers arriving at the scene located two people entering a building and detained them without incident. Authorities say a firearm was recovered from one of the people during the investigation.
