A man died by apparent suicide during a traffic stop Tuesday evening in Minneapolis, according to the Hennepin County Sheriff’s Office.

Troopers responded at 1:47 p.m. to the southbound lanes of Highway 15 near 170th Street in Cottonwood Township. The driver of a 2015 Dodge Grand Caravan had stopped for roadwork when it was hit from behind by the driver of a 2021 Nissan Altima.

Inside the residence, Minneapolis police found two people dead and another woman in her 40s with a gunshot wound. She was taken to Hennepin Healthcare for treatment and is expected to survive.

Brooklyn Park police say Melchizedek Kpaan was taken into custody Friday morning in North Ridgeville, a suburb west of Cleveland, where officers had tracked him following a second-degree murder warrant.

Police say Phillip Bacon threw fireworks at his neighbor’s home, damaged the siding and gas meter, then threatened to burn it down during the bizarre outburst.

Officers from the Fourth Precinct were dispatched near Mississippi Drive North & Lyndale Avenue North just after 3 a.m. on July 20 following a report of gunfire in the area.

Sherburne County authorities say the man, identified as Zha Vang, 51, of Elk River, was taken into custody outside the building shortly after the incident, which occurred around 9:30 a.m. No injuries were reported.

According to a GoFundMe, Josh Wines was participating in the Night of Destruction event Thursday night at the fairgrounds when his vehicle reportedly rolled over, trapping him inside.
