The shooting happened around 1:30 a.m. Saturday, March 14 on the 2300 block of Hennepin Avenue.

The 54-year-old victim was not involved in the gunfight, police said. Paramedics transported him to Regions Hospital with a gunshot wound to the chest.

Eddie Darren Duncan, 23, of Minneapolis, was released from the Hennepin County Jail shortly after noon Monday, Feb. 23, after posting $35,000 bail in a pending felony case involving fleeing police and possession of a machine-gun conversion device.

The shooting happened inside an apartment building in the 100 block of East 18th Street, where officers were called on a report of a person shot.

The incident happened around 12:20 a.m. Feb. 21 at a residence in the 5300 block of 35th Avenue North in Crystal, where officers were dispatched on a report of a shooting inside the home.

The incident unfolded around 3:55 p.m. Feb. 23 in the business area near the 5500 block of Brooklyn Boulevard, where Brooklyn Center officers were dispatched on reports of a man waving a gun outside.

Minneapolis Police Chief Brian O’Hara said a 23-year-old man and a 14-year-old boy were killed after a suspect entered the residence shortly after being released from the Hennepin County Jail.

The shooting was reported around 2:02 p.m. Feb. 22 at the shopping center along White Bear Avenue, where Maplewood police and fire crews arrived and found an adult male suffering from a gunshot wound.

In a press release, the Stearns County Sheriff’s Office said an adult male victim was transported to a hospital. The victim’s condition has not been released.

Prosecutors charged Khalid Hassan Mowlid, 18, of Maple Grove, with one count each of second-degree assault with a dangerous weapon and intentional discharge of a firearm.

Earl Bennett, 42, of Minneapolis, was sentenced Feb. 18 to more than 86 years in prison after being convicted of three counts of second-degree murder and one count of illegal firearm possession.

Brooklyn Park officers were dispatched to reports of a shooting inside the business and arrived to find an adult male employee suffering from multiple gunshot wounds.

Officers arrived to find a red Ford Focus that had crashed into the rear of a parked Nissan Versa. The Focus had a shattered rear window, multiple bullet holes through the windshield and a bullet hole through the driver’s seat headrest.

The Midwest Medical Examiner’s Office identified the man who died during the Feb. 10 use-of-force incident as 30-year-old Donald Felver III, of Duluth.
